Huawei Nova 8i Released, Superior to Ultra Thin Bezels and 66W Fast Charging Support

Huawei held the APAC Summer Product Launch event on July 6, where they unveiled six new devices that they will soon market in the Asia Pacific region. One of the new products that is quite attention-grabbing is Huawei Nova 8i. Because, as we know, huawei nova series used to be quite popular in Indonesia thanks to the balance between the price and specifications offered, not to mention the camera results are quite impressive.

In terms of specs, Nova 8i may be arguably not very appetizing. The device relies on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 chipset, complete with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. Looking at the specifications, Nova 8i's performance should not be much different from the Poco M3. In fact, both have a fairly decent price difference .

What's interesting about Nova 8i is its premium design. His face is almost full of screens, with a screen-to-body ratio of 94.7%. This can be realized thanks to a 1.3 mm thin bezel on the left and right sides, as well as 1.35 mm on the upper side. As a result, the bottom bezel looks quite thick because the other sides are so thin.

The screen itself is a 6.67-inch IPS panel with FHD+ resolution. For whatever reason, Huawei doesn't detail the refresh rate that the screen has at all. At the top left end of the screen, we can see a capsule-shaped hole inhabited by a 16 megapixel camera. Since the screen is not AMOLED, the fingerprint sensor must be inserted into the power button.

Switching back, the user will encounter four cameras in a rounded module. The rear camera system consists of a 64 megapixel f/1.9 main camera, an 8 megapixel f/2.4 ultra-wide camera, a 2 megapixel macro camera, and a 2 megapixel depth camera.

Nova 8i's last flagship feature is 66W fast charging support. With this large output, its 4,300 mAh battery can be fully charged in just 38 minutes. If the user is in a hurry, charging for 17 minutes alone can fill about 60% of the total capacity.
