The Nothing phone (1) has finally received a suitable formalization after weeks and weeks of teasing. The model had received much attention, particularly its transparent form and LED construction for revisited light alerts.

It is now a matter of learning all this new rival has to offer to determine if it can compete with the top smartphones in its class. While waiting for the quick test, you may read our article " Getting Started with the Nothing phone (1).

Technical details and features of this smartphone

You should be aware that the Nothing phone (1) has pretty traditional measurements of 159.2 x 75.8 x 8.3 mm. On the scale, 193.5 grams were indicated in total. A 6.55-inch Oled screen with a resolution of 2400 x 1800 pixels can be found on the front. Additionally, the panel has adjustable refresh rates up to 120 Hz.

A Snapdragon 778G + is located within the beast and is in charge of the operation. It comes with 128 or 256 GB of inbuilt UFS 3.1 storage and 8 or 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM. As for the cameras of this particular model, it has the following configurations:

  •  50-megapixel primary sensor (f/1.88)
  • 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor (f/2.2).
  • The front-facing selfie camera has a 16-megapixel sensor and an f/2.45 lens aperture

What makes this phone different from others

The company's first smartphone, formed by Carl Pei, a former employee of OnePlus, seems intriguing on paper but not very impressive. The promises around the traditional interface and the "Glyph" interface, however, may be used to justify the widespread internet frenzy that it has caused.

You should know that Nothing OS enjoys having "an open invitation." Thus, the company encourages you to manage "third-party services as easy as those of Nothing in the fast settings.

The "Glyph Interface" should enable you to learn "a new method of communication." The aforementioned renowned LEDs on the back are those. Therefore, during an incoming call, "distinct light patterns identify your correspondent," but they also enable reporting of alerts, battery level, or other information.

The Nothing phone (1) is built of "100 percent recycled" metal and more than 50% of plastic components that are "from bio-based and recycled materials," which is the last argument that will make you laugh.
